I love the "cards not supported" list but they should have a list of cards that support "hardware option" list.

Would make choosing a lot easier.

So any suggetions?

Only the Creative X-Fi line will support that.

I just need a card that can use the hardare render option to reduce the load on the CPU. I currently have to use software and the really causes drag to the system at times.

I don't mean to needlessly bump this thread, but I'm asking the exact same question.

I've been told that the hardware sound rendering takes the load off the CPU so I was wondering if someone could suggest a good card, preferably sub £100 mark.

P.S. This should probably be in Tech, any chance of a mod moving it if it needs it?

Just get the bottom of the range X-Fi. The others aren't much better, don't get the one with RAM on it. The performance increases aren't big enough to justify the price.

You can get the X-Fi Extreme Music for about £50-60. That'll do you nicely.
