OK, this is not of earth shattering importance, but when I start BF2 I can neither see the EA Message graphic nor the sponsor graphic.  Everything else works just fine.  I'm pretty good with computers but this has me stumped.  Any ideas?  I'm not so bothered that it doesn't show, only that I don't know why it's not showing.  Anyway, I won't lose any sleep over it.

Mad guessing here.... You have an active ad-blocker ? Maybe you run peerguardian with some sort of list of ad-companies ?

you mean you cant see the server-banner when connecting to a server or you cant see the EA & dice vids when you start bf2?
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

No, just the server-banner and that message that EA always posts on logging in (usually sending you off to their BF2142 site).  The movies are fine, at least they were until I got rid of them.  No pop-up blockers other than an up to date version of mozilla firefox.  Maybe it's that...
