Don't get me wrong, I know they're out there, but it seems like over the past month anytime I get on bf2s.com and check the forum posts (the new ones posted on the home page), about 80% of them seem to be totally non-bf2 related.

What's up with all the posts about world events lately?  I don't know about everyone else, but I use this game and this website as a small escape from reality and it honestly don't understand why so much of this stuff is getting posted on here.  Why not go post on some newsgroup or something like that?

Not trying to complain, just seems odd to me because I don't remember in the past having so many real world related threads.

As I'm typing this, it occurs to me that probably part of the reason for this is that almost every bf2 related topic immaginable has been posted at one time or another and if you start another thread you'll have about 20 people telling you to use search.  I usually use search before starting a thread, but I didn't this time and I'm sure someone will let me hear about it.

Anyway, all I'm saying is I'd like to see more threads related to the game.

Hate those guys.  If the search button was easier to find they wouldn't have a job.

Almost every subject regarding BF2 has been run into the ground..several hundred, flaming times.

So many times one of the "search Nazi's" throw a fit about a new thread they're complaining about how much space it takes up on the sight.  If all these extra posts are taking up so much space, why not delete old threads.  I don't mean just close them, but remove them completely.

Could some system be set up where if a thread was not accessed/opened/etc. for say 60 days, it would be removed automatically?  That would open so much space it would almost never be an issue again.

Not to mention the fact that the search, while it can be helpful, is EXTREMELY time consuming as well.  So I guess that's another way we could go...  Since so many people know every tid bit of info that's ever been posted and exactly how/where to find that info, have the search button link to a live chat with those individuals and instead of posting another pointless thread they can simply direct you to the information you are looking for.    Ok, so maybe not so realistic.

But seriously, why not auto delete old threads after 60 days or so of inactivity.  Besides just solving the problem of space on the server, it would also make the search easier to use.  So when you do actually use the search you don't get 13 pages of all different threads full of the information you're not looking for.  Talk about a discouragement from using the search, last time I used the search it literally took me three days to find the information I was looking for.  I did finally find it, for the most part, but my questions could have easily been answered in a new thread that would have taken me five minutes to type and taken everyone not interested in it about 5 seconds to ignore.

WTFever, I gotta go.
