I can't get a good connection for any of my games here at school. In order to get onto the internet here we have to log into the network through a "Clean Access Client" and keep that running. I'm pretty sure that this is blocking the ports I need to run bf2 and most other games (i.e. Steam games and CoD). Is there anyway to get around it because I don't have any options within the program.
You might be SOL...you could set up port-forwarding but you need that done on the external side of the firewall, otherwise the relevant ports will be outright blocked before they ever get to any internal forwarding software. Normally this is done in router or firewall setup but I imagine your network admins won't let users anywhere near those.
If they don't block the relevant ports for VPN you could set up a secure tunnel between yourself and another computer outside of the network and then pipe your internet access (or at least relevant ports) through that. The downside is that a connection like that will be really slow...those aren't meant for gaming and chances are you don't have the hardware to set up one that would be fast enough for your needs.
So I return to my original statement that you might be SOL. My reccommendation: learn to hack. Sorry I can't be of more help to you...best of luck. I was in a similar situation at my college for awhile. Fortunately the network admins relented and opened up the appropriate ports for CS...and all was well again.

i have that same problem at school, there are some proxy servers that u can use, but problem with school servers...they block all ports except port 80 which i think is for browsing, but any other port, like for downloading video, connecting to other servers, etc. are blocked by the firewall...what u can do is find what type of firewall they have, and go online and find a way to hack into it so u can edit the ports and add the bf2 ports into it, it'll take them some time to figure out what u did too
