i am a corporal already should i have with jacjhammer and dao , but should sf unlocks be available too or am i being thick
sorry that doesnt make sense will ask later sorry
Actually, I was wondering this as well, but the ranks page doesn't say. What is the first rank that gives an SF unlock? Is it Lance Corporal (just like regular BF2)?
with sf you get for every rank with unlock, 2 unlocks!
i was promotet last night to Gunnery sergeant an got 2 unlocks one for bf2 and one for sf.
for witch unlooks you use them is your thing!

From looking at your stats it looks like you can use the "SF" unlocks on "Vanilla" guns as well? I thought the SF unlocks only worked with the SF guns.Neuronal wrote:

EDIT: Also from looking at your stats, it appears you don't get a SF unlock for Lance Corporal or Corporal. Can anyone verify this?

I have not goten the unlocks in SF that I had in BF2. To say that the unlocks I earned in BF2(before SF) have not been matched sence I installed SF. Last promo, after I had SF, I got 2 unlocks
I had 5 unlocks for BF2 original
and got 3 with SF
[off topic]
What does "vanilla" Bf2 mean ?
what is the meaning of "vanilla"?
In dutch: Wat is de betekenis van "vanilla" als bijvoeglijk naamwoord?

Vanilla refers to the original version of a game without mods or expansions. Apparrently Vanilla is normal which is ludicrious because vanilla is anything but. It's vanilla! Wonder why Rocky Road didn't get picked or maybe Chocolate Mint for that matter I hate that flavor.
Currently I am a Gunnery Sgt in BF2. If I were to pick up SF would I be allowed the unlocks I would have earned had I had SF since my early days or would I have to wait another 9K points til the next fire hoop...er promotion?

va·nil·la Pronunciation (v-nl)
n.
1. Any of various tropical American vines of the genus Vanilla in the orchid family, especially V. planifolia, cultivated for its long narrow seedpods from which a flavoring agent is obtained.
2. The seedpod of this plant. Also called vanilla bean.
3. A flavoring extract prepared from the cured seedpods of this plant or produced synthetically.
adj.
1. Flavored with vanilla: vanilla pudding.
2. Lacking adornments or special features; basic or ordinary.
In this case the last definition fits. It is used to describe the generic version of a game.

you can unlock a SF weapon when you get the first tier weapon unlocked. for instance, to get the SF medic unlock, you would first need to unlock the L85A1.
as for how many unlocks you get, you get your first unlock at Lance Corporal and then another unlock per rank after that. when you reach Sergeant, and from then thereafter, you get 2 unlocks per rank. For those of you that are past Sergeant and have not installed SF yet, you get to play catchup and get another unlock for every rank past Sergeant and also for Sergeant itself after you install SF and log in.
I hope this makes sense. I have trouble making sense sometimes.

Yeah, that makes sense. That's what I thought from looking at peoples stats who have SF. Maybe somebody should but this in UBAR...
