Is the language filter slightly too tight?

I can understand filtering some of the stronger abusive words but it is way to strict, and 99% of the servers seem to have them now. The word IDIOT!!! when applied to somebody who dropped a claymore on me was enough to get me kicked. I may be wrong but i don't think anybody over the age of five is going to be particularly insulted by this, and i would feel much worse if i didn't highlight to the world that this person was a complete and utter TWAT (a male goldfish, or is that prat?!?).
The other thing i complained about hitting the cockpit of a jet with an AT missile and the person then proceding to run me over without even catching fire. As cockpit contains a slang word for part of the male anatomy (and a male foul) this also got me a warning.
I doubt this can really be fixed (apart from the idiot bit) but at least i got it off my chest.

Maybe start using words that require a thesaurus. Then people won't complain.

By the way, children aren't allowed to swear, but adults don't because it isn't polite. If there weren't so many children flexing their internet anonymity, there wouldn't be a need for filters. I personally think seeing "fucking gay shit cunt noob" scrolling across the screen every three seconds is annoying. I only play on servers with strict filters.

Think of it like this: would you say it in real life? Be honest. If there was a guy on the train who stood on your foot, would you call him an idiot? Probably not, 'cause he'd punch you. So don't do it in game.

I don't understand why a game with a >16 rating has a language filter...

(oh as I see it is rated 13< in the US...)

But as they kick someone because of parts of words i think that teaches the kids to swear, especially because the words are shown after the kick...

You are right, i would probably would not call him an idiot, i would use something much stronger as i am suffering from great pain in my toe currently. If he did then punch me i would stalk him, tie his shoelaces to a tree and pelt him with marshmallows because i am quite a good runner and his shoelaces are tied together.
This may sound hard to do but i tried it on someone i know and he had to walk back barefooted and get a pair of scissors, isn't maturity (especially being bigger than everyone else and having an intimidating beard) great?

I was playing SF, a round of Iron Gator as USMC. We're getting pretty badly pasted on the carrier, and get pushed back to holding one or two flags. Then, I realise that of the six-man squad I'm in, the Squad Leader and three others are in the town on the mainland!

I thought I was restrained in typing in "What the hell is my squad doing over on the land, get back over here and help us fight!". Obviously not restrained, enough, as I got kicked for saying "Hell"

I forgot the server, but idiot was a kickable word there. I was in the chopper with someone and he couldn't line me up for shit. I call him an idiot and I get the "Warning Jenkinsbball - Please watch language" message. I couldn't freaking believe it. So, I asked the guys on the server if "Idiot" was really a banned word. Of course, they say yes and I laughed at them and told them to fuck off.

They banned this word on a server with no rules. Anything was allowed, except for talking apparently
