if we have to kick someone for a clan-member ,we usually kick the one with the worst neg score first, after that, depends who's the worst 'tard on the server.
as for auto balance,no idea,sry.

Lots of reasons, depends on the admin themselves more than anything I guess.

I've been kicked a few times to make room for an admin, and not once that I can remember was I the lowest scorer or had the highest neg team points or anything like that, to make me the obvious choice; and I know for sure that at least a couple of times there were guys playing lone wolf with no points or close to it that could have been chosen.

Once I was definitely kicked to make room for an admin on the winning side, since the server wasn't even close to being full and we were one player up. That's pretty funny actually, perks of being an admin I guess. This still counts as a win for the guy being kicked so if it happens to you don't sweat it too much.

I was also kicked "for excessive teamkilling or because of a successful kick vote" once, the standard catch-all Punkbuster message, and I'm certain it was an attempt to get the gold medal for one of the clan members as I had the highest score and they were in the second, third and fourth positions. Luckily I managed to get back in just in time to foil his plan

On the rare occasion we need to kick someone to make room for a clan member, we go for anyone with a neg score, anyone who looks like thay are AFK, anyone who's been a bit of a prick, and failing that we just kick whoever has the highest ping. It's only once in a blue moon we ever have to do it tho thanks to the reserve slots feature.

Autobalance I believe will transfer the first person to be killed when the teams are uneven by 2 or more players.

For the clans I used to be in, we would kick idlers first, then whoever had a 0 or less, and lastly whoever was pinging highest, assuming they had less than 20 points.

Crazyfool is right about autobalance.

High ping, idlers, negative score, retards.

Crazy is indeed right, although I thought you couldn't be switched when being squadleader but can't confirm that.

Admins can set a flag on a person so they will be team-switched next time they die.

Yea it's usually low score or high ping first. Being moved to the other team is because your not in a squad or lowest score.

Admins that play on a server where they pay a monthly fee for renting it can kick whoever they want for whatever reason they like, their server - their rules ! Are heaps of stories of people that have experienced such episodes, me included !

The general idea is as mentioned to kick the one with the highest neg score, highest ping or a smacktard to let in a fellow admin or community-member. This can be abused and very often is.

Teamswitching by an admin can be set in BF2CC (the command and control program for BF2) and the switch takes place the next time you die.

Autobalance i`m not sure of but am pretty sure it works the same way, but to my knowledge it only switches lonewolves.

auto B will quite happily switch people in squads. I think the only person immune to switching is the commander, at least on our server anyway. We just run bog standard BF2, no admin plugins or anything, we found they increased server crashes :-/

As for the comment about "Admins that play on a server where they pay a monthly fee for renting it can kick whoever they want for whatever reason they like, their server - their rules ! Are heaps of stories of people that have experienced such episodes, me included !" that isn't entirely true, if it's a ranked server the admins still have to stay within the ROE, so for instance I couldn't kick you because you shot me during a "knife only" round, as that would be against the ROE. Obviously if I was a smacktard admin (which I'm not!) I could kick you for such a reason, but then you would be within your right to go bitch to EA/Dice about it and if they could be arsed they could unrank our server.

Close by US standards maybe (Ireland is tiny) but not really, it's in another part of the country.

Well if there is no person with neg score then just kick the one with the least score because he will be able to make it up faster then a person with a score of 150. Also kick any one with high ping because that will just lag your server.
