latey i duno, cus im older. been puttin on abit of weight around the mid section. nothin catastrophic just enough to make you go, hmm that wasnt there before. anyway the hot tip is... basketball. i have been playing every day but one this week. after a good solid hour or so you work up a decent sweat. plus being outside ive already got my tan for summer workin to.

anyone else got any tips on working out/getting healthy without actually working out? i find basketball fun so it doesnt really feel like im going to work out u know? my motivation to actually do weights or pushups only lasts a couple of days then im like "fuck it".

Running, followed by sit-ups and push-ups till you can't take nothing anymore. Helps these days when I'm stressed out.

Learn some floor exercises, or stick with simple push-ups/sit-ups (and if you're lucky enough to have a bar, pullups) and do 6-7 during the 15 seconds of spawn time in BF2. If you're pissed about the guy who killed you, channel your energy into that. Do 50 each while waiting for loading (or less/more depending on your loading time). It helps quite a bit.

However, seeing as you play only 40 something minutes a day it won't help that much.

edit: or since you play Basketball, do supersuicides; a normal suicide followed by 10 pushups and 10 situps.

heh, I'm in weight training class at my high school and I've never been so hyperbazzled at how fun/easy a class like that can be:
1 go to the main gym.
2 dress out
3 stretch and run some laps
4 and lift heavy things multiple times

you go to bed more sleepy (a good thing) and wake up feeling more energized.

Never met Charlie.  But I did meet a few of Muhammad's associates.  Never got their name.

I have a membership at a gym, and I spend an hour + a day there.  I usually run anywhere from 1-2 miles on the treadmill, about 8-10 miles on the bike, and do a mile on the eliptic. That and only eating at most 1300 calories a day, Ive lost about 6-7 pounds in the past couple weeks.  That and this drink that I bought at GNC, called Redline.  That stuff rocks.  It keeps me from getting tired so easily so that I can work longer in the gym and burn off more fat/calories.  Other than that, I do 20 sit ups every night before I go to bed.  Weight lifting will come soon, Im just trying to drop a few extra pounds of flab first lol.

yes, and no alcohol lol.  I had a drink the other night after I enlisted, but thats because my diet has been so strict trying to make weight before that, and once I made it,  I celebrated.  No worries twiistaaa, Im not really fit or anything special, Im still not in the shape I need to be in, thats why I work so hard at the gym.  Plus, that Redline drink keeps me going while Im there.

I actually play a lot of hackey sack, it'll suck at first but if you keep playing with the same group of people you'll eventually all get much better and it becomes quite a work out, especially when you get pretty intense and do the fancy stuff. I'm actually the skinniest one that I play with, some of them are kind of an "athletic fat" or so they claim since they do play sports all the time. But they start sweating off those calories in less than 10 minutes of play. It's pretty fun too. I actually get really tired after about a half hour of solid playing, unless I get something to drink, then I can go on forever.

Another sport you might want to try is ice hockey. The main problem there is you have to pay $150+ for equipment then you usually have to pay for ice time, as opposed to the $4 for a hackey sack. I started playing ice hockey a few months ago and man that is one true work out. I play two shifts out there and I'm literally steaming hot and covered in sweat.

If sports aren't your fancy, you could try learning a musical instrument that you have a passion for. I got a guitar about 3 years ago. Now I have a cranking system and just turning the volume up to 1 (I usually leave it around .5,) the whole house shakes. When I'm the only one in the house I'll turn up to like 3 and just stand in front of it while just jamming out. That's another great workout and it can be fun for everybody.

Those are all the things that help me stay fit, along with my ultra high metabillism (sp?) or ultra low, I don't know which one, whichever one keeps me skinny. The only problem with those 3, is that you can't really start using it as a workout right away, you need to practice a lot before you really start sweating.
