M16/L85A1 Animation glitch vid

Somehow, i was playing on karkand, and i ran out of ammo in my M16 so i switched kits with an L85A1, however i kept the M16, and was transformed into a full auto m16.

Things to look for:

Reload twice (watch how it switcheds from 30 bullets back to 9, and then must reload again).

Fully autamatic, no macroes, or anything.

The kills come up as the L85A1

I dont get health nor ammo from the crate, the entire time i was sitting at it.

Unfortunantly i didnt capture the sound, but you need to trust me on this one when i say it sounded like the m16 with no delay (NOT THE L85A1).

You can also get a 3 round burst AK doing this, just in reverse.

I heard Loki saying something about it back at the release of 1.4, no idea how it happens.

Anyway, 1.4 seems like it's the patch with tons of glitchy guns (shotguns and now this)

A similar incident happened to me today.

I was playin on US as an AT, picked up an MEC's medic pack.. killed someone with the AK-101.. and it registered as an L85A1.

Also, if you kidnap someone, a duplicate kit will appear.

Meaning the kit the enemy is using will instantly drop, then if you wait another 5 seconds, a second duplicate kit will appear. So if they just so happen to be medic... you get 3 medic paddles and no rez delay... kidnap me long long time 2 dolla

I had an m16 to i used it and he dont shoot :S i trow a granade aah the granade dissapears :S i ride whit a tank by wake on a bridge i fall TROUGH the bridge :S idont like patch 1.4 XD

You CAN use the M16 full auto. It's just a simple macro, or if you feel that is cheating, then binding the fire key to something that repeats FAST instead of the single mouse button click.

Other than that.. this bug is what happened to prevent the "no kit" bug. For some reason they "ensure" that you will spawn with a kit by giving you a "default" kit. You then experience that some of the features in your "default" kit will pass onto a new kit you pick up/get when revived. I kno it sucks, but it can be pretty awesome sometimes. For instance you can with a little luck and some planning spawn with a VERY fast reloading/shooting L96/M24 ! But as someone pointed out.. you can't get extra ammo for some unknown reason, so I wont recommend it.

I had a friend I was playing with spawn with the Ak-101, but it showed him having the G36E. His kills would show up Ak-101, but I thought it was funny seeing a G36E animate full-auto. This is sort of different, because it's like your two guns crossed into one.

maybe EA just made it so that if the glitch happened (becuase they probably found it as well) you couldn't reload or be healed so that you would have to change kits again (give up the glitch) or die (also getting rid of the glitch), and if EA havn't done that they can say they have and who will know

Yeah, it happens. To other people, they would see you carrying the L85, but to you, still looks like the M16, which is kind of cool

nice video and i have been on the bf2s forum for 7months, but i never could reply on it, but I got it finally working today. I just preordered the bf2142 on eb games and i am getting my copy oct 18. I am from portland oregon by the way.

Yea, I'd kill people with a G36C but it shows up as an L85 on the killrecord thing, its a bug where the game thinks youre using the kit with that gun, or something
