Gfx look as if i am playing in the 90`s

I have been playing BF2 for a bit and have had a merry time playing it until tonight. I logged on and jumped in a game only to find my screen looking like this

My sys specs are:

Inspiron 6000D
Pent D 1.6
2G Ram
Ati x300 128 (unfortunately heh)
XP

I run the game @ 1280x1024 on an external lcd. Been running fine at medium settings for a while. At first i thought it could be overheating or a gfx card reset. All of my pertinent drivers are up to date, and all of my temps while in game are ~mid-low 40's C. Thought id try to find an answer here, but could not. Thought i would throw the question around. Thx

--FIXED--Well, as much fun as this has been i fixed it. I ran a driver clean up utility and completely unisnstalled my video card. heh seems too obvious but i guess i didnt go far enough in removing my drivers last time. thx for the help

everything just seems simplified to put it plainly. as if there are no textures just models. and this is after many a reboot/power cycle.

Try restarting your computer and / or letting it take a breather before you play OR letting some cool air go to it. Your vid card might be overheating or something along those lines. Restarting is the best thing to do.

Heh, the water is just a dull blue/gray, nothing exciting.

And the card has Arctic Silver 5 on it and a laptop cooler running constantly underneath. I let it sit for about 20-30 mins after i first noticed it. Been through a total or about 5-6 restarts (not back to back, but with some time in between). Currently my Temps are (in deg C)
CPU 44°
GPU 44°
Both of which i believe are about normal when running games etc.

ok well i decided to test Counter Strike and had the same problem . so im guessing its either vid hardware or drivers. im gonna redo drivers and see what happens
