You can't compare 2142 to BF2, its a different game.  The AA is OK, but not all that great.  Unlocking it is not gonna give you the power to own the gunships completely.

2 shoots for flying targets. Imagein like the AT weapons in BF2, but on speed. Mostly useful for transport gunships, but of course if an attack ship is flying slow or hovering you can get them too. Forget about hitting them while they fly full speed past you though.

1. The abilities, can you only choose one of the abilities or do you use them all together as soon as you unlock them. So will I have the Nades and Sprint increase thing or one or the other?
2. Netbat: Can you choose which of the 4 you want to use or must Engineer have vehicle Netbat and Assault the Infantry Netbat?

2. Nobody ever used one on me, so I dont know. However, EMP strikes (like arty) disable vehicles for around 10-15 seconds, and mess up your vision a bit (can still move, but hard to hit anything) in infantry. APCs also have EMP rockets, and anti air turrets have EMP missiles.

1. Once unlocked, they are always on. You cant select them.
2. Each only has one netbat, you cant choose. But you get the benefit of the other netbats if you are squadded with people.

Its a little leggier because of the rain and snow particle efx, but the CTD's are rare (I got maybe 3 in the entire beta) and it seems fairly stable.  The only major problem is Titans, they can make the game lag sometimes.  Lets hope DICE sorts this out before release

Overall its about as stable as 1.4.... unless you have a faulty patch and 1.4 is unstable for you.

2:is it easy to attack the titan and get to is core?
3:where do u respawn on the titan? like say I'm putting some c7 on a console or the core and some 1 just respawn next to u and kills u?
4:if u detonate the C7 in the titan while there's still Allie's do u get the TKs or the kills for hostels?
5:for the sentry guns and squad leader drones if they kill do u get the points?
6:and the squad leader spawn beacons, do they disappear when the squad leader dies or does the enemy have to destroy it?

1: By killing someone either on your titan or on theirs. (Defend points if on yours, Attack points if on theirs/)
2: If people are not defending it, yes. But 5-7 people defending can be a hassle.
3: On the front deck/ / No.
4: Both?
5: Yes.
6: Enemy has to destroy it. (Not very hard to find though, since it has a blinking light and it makes a sound.)

as for 4: well what u mean for both? i want to know if u get kills or TKs or 1 or the other if say u had 2 team mates and 2 hostels in the titan.
1: do u get more points if u exscape the titan before it blows up if u blew it up? i heard u did.

Do you mean if you destroy the titan, and there are people inside of it you kill them? If so, no, when you destroy the titan there's a big white flash, then the round ends. (It's quite funny because if there were people inside of the titan when it was destroyed, and the round ends, they fall out the bottom of the titan.)

I have two questions for you guys, so here they are:

1. Why are people saying the sniper class (specifically sniper rifles, not the spec-ops branch) sucks?

2. I have read on some posts and on Bf2142 that you only get +1 point for pretty much everything. How many points do you get for a kill assist, because I don't see how they could do 1/2 points and such (would be better to just double every point and rank)?

The base sniper is like the svd, when you are looking throuh the scope you get motion so it is a lot harder to aim.  The gun does not do large amounts of damage for body hits but its semi-auto.  I thought that the scope sights were bad, but I did not try the unlock to see if they were any better.   

One thing that was interesting to me was that the changes to stats displayes seem to take some insperation from this and other stats web sites.

Thanks for you really comprehensive reply Icleos (I don't understand why they went with 1/2 points instead of just doubling everything, but I guess it doesn't affect the type of coding they are using).

As for sniper, I guess I will never know why people think it sucks (I like the idea of weapon bob and I think all weapons should have it, so I guess I'll be one of the few playing sniper)... Thanks again for your response guys, I'm glad you guys are taking the time do answer these questions.

well if there is scope drift, that in a way is very good. that is a real sniper environment. you could say that there are no more snipers jumping around and dolphin diving and at the same time making snapshots like that.

in bf2 a sniper does a roll and does a snapshot on you in the head. i guess you cant do that in 2142
