Hey guys, i just want to get your opinion on this card.
7600GS 256 AGP

Here is my setup as of now.
Intel P4 3.0ghz
Xtreme Music sound card
80gb hard drive
2gb ram
6600GT 128mb AGP

I can run the game on high settings at 1280x1024 resolution, the only thing i have turned off is light so i can see in dark areas easier. My card right now is coming to its end. Im with limited selection because im with AGP. My question is will i be able to run the game on high settings, with AA on possibly with the 7600
Honestly, I would just save my money and buy a new motherboard that supports PCI-E and your current processor and just use that. AGP is definitly at it's end. If you INSIST on using AGP, I think there is a 7900GT for it, if I am not mistaken.

But would that card be able to support bf2 on high settings?

Yeah, honestly that's the best bet in the long run. You will be much more satisfied with this route instead of buying your AGP card now. The performace will be better [obviously] but after upgrading the mobo and getting a PCI-E card, you'll be really happy that you waited. Trust me.

Concur. 7600 would do the job on high, but waste of time. Your 6600 is as good as you need for AGP. Just buy a new motherboard before you upgrade graphics.

But also if i get a new motherboard i'll have to get a new CPU. I can't find any socket 478 mobos that have pci-e.

Well then...It looks like the new best option is to upgrade your rig as a whole. New [faster] CPU with a better mobo and good gfx card. That should do the trick. Your wallet will want to stab you in the heart, but hey, it's worth it.

You definately don't want a 7900 for AGP - it just won't perform properly because AGP 8x has insufficient bandwidth. It's not just marketing hype about PCI-E as I have heard suggested, it is a much faster interface, with low end cards it doesn't matter because they aren't throwing data out fast enough for the AGP interface to become a bottleneck, but the faster the card you get, the more you will be slowed down by your AGP port. You might just about be alright with a 7600, but I'd go for a new M/B.

i'm keeping my 6600GT for a while yet as i'm still scraping up the money to buy a new rig with the rig i'll get will be sweet.

AMD Athlon64 4800+ Socket 939 Dual Core CPU
at least as it will be 6 months plus before i've scraped together the £400 for this bundle as i'm 15

Active Cooling Heatsink & Fan

DDR333/400 Support
2 x PCI-Express 16 (SLi Enabled)
a motherboard with that not sure which as it comes in the bundle

Stylish Pre-modded ATX Tower
SLi Compatible PSU
Front USB Ports

and i'm salvaging my current p.c. for its 160 gig hard drive and temporarily the 6600GT and the sound card till i get a graphics new card.
this p.c. will go downstairs to become a multimedia centre.

my new rig will be sweet.

I thought that they made 7600GT's in AGP, am i not mistaken? Would that do the trick? I know you guys are saying that i should get a new M/B, but for me right now money is tight as im saving up for my vechile.
