Ok so world politics have many different cultures to follow. But I know for a fact there has been adultery and other skeletons in closest over Seas, and they don't really seem to care.. Is it old fashion to think that Sex scandals actually interfere with politicians duties?

I say if the only thing people can complain about, is how many people you have sex with...........then you must be doing something right

I don't really think it interferes with their duties, but I think the mindset is that if they aren't faithful to their spouse, can they be trusted to do what is in the best interest of their constituents.
Yes I think it can, I can run around and do a different girl every night and still make it to my job and do an ecellent job for my clients. I don't think it's any different for Politicans..
Yes, I agree for the public sector, however, you don't make state or national policy. Also, if you mess up your client can easily fire you. Getting rid of a politician is like trying to rid yourself of herpes.cpt.fass1 wrote:

I mean, I don't personally care of the guy/gal is getting a little on the side...look at Hillary and you can easily understand that. I'm just saying that is the perception.

That's true but for the most part most straight laced politicans have there hands in money scams and other things of the such. I'd so much rather have our politicans hands on an other women then in our pockets.
Agreed. However, the far right and religious groups don't see it that way. Why they had their hands in the cookie jar can be more easily explained away in a manner they will accept. Much more so than trying to explain away why you had your hand in some one's pants.cpt.fass1 wrote:

What no female politicians, you betray your party cpt.fass!Should Politicans Personal Life effect his political career?
But yeah +1 what lowing said, every nation.
It can do, depends on the situation
Man you should look into New Zealand politics at the moment. All affairs and mud-slinging. Leader of the opposition Don Brash was literally 'in bed' with te head of the buisiness round table. Alligations of private eyes being hired by both parties digging up dirt on the other and just when you think perhaps we're going to see some real issues...
"Woops, death to the exclusive bretheren*!"
There is really no question about it, personal lives do effect political careers. In a perfect world, should they? The thing is, politicians are our representitives. If we were all a bunch of money laundering adulterers, (note: keyword, ALL TMo,) then perhaps these politicians lives wouldn't effect their political careers. It is a philospohical and legal question to whether politicians and other people high up in the world, (celebreties,) have less a right to privacy than regular people. The question really is this; is there public interest? Two scenarios. You're told your neighbor is getting it on with another one of your neighbors. Do you care? No! Why should you? Sure you may think it's worng, but what they do with their lives is their buisiness, it dosn't effect you, (unless you're friends with any of them, lets just assume you're not.)
Second scenario. You're told the leader of the opposition party is having an extra-marritial affair with the head of a powerful buisiness group. Do you care now? Whether you answer yes or no the fact still is that this effects you. Say this politician, (lets call him D. Brash... no wait, too obvious, how about Don B.) has staked his policies on family values and fairness to all. This affair shows him both to be a hypocrate and a liar. And he is a representitive of almost half the country.
So yes, in extreme circumstances personal lives should effect politicians political careers. In the example of Dr. Brash he should be gone, (we all knew politicians were liars, but he's bloody terrible at it!) Still, descretion should be taken. Again looking to the wackey world of New Zealand politics, members of parliament have been caught drink driving, drunk, a combination of drunk and taking a leak in a Hotel lobby, forging art, and speeding at about 100ks over the speed limit to get to a rugby game, (Prime Minister, I'm looking at you for those last two.)
These are investigated, (especially the Prime minister's rugby rush,) but generally issues such as being drunk, or doing something stupid they are treated like normal people. This means it dosn't effect their careers and nor should it. Only in BIG cases does it impact, and so should it. Politicians are our representitives, so why shouldn't they act like regular people?
Anyway I have written for far to long to have any chance of you guys reading this, so since you will never read this, TMo likes fucking squirrels and PspRpg-7 murders people in his basement.

Why do Betray my party, I'm a huge sexist.. I don't belive that women should even work, has nothing to do with my view on party.. I'm also not really a democrate, I have many core republican views. I say Core because our current "republican party" is a real Republican pary..
Well first of all it wouldn't matter, it betrays both parties, I guess if thats your belief thats cool man. So you think even if women WANT to work you think they shouldn't even be able to. Thats amazing, talk about free choice. Are you from Iran?cpt.fass1 wrote:
