Tabasco's much hotter than Louisiana, it doesn't have as much flavor though. Tabasco's just heat and vinegar, no real taste. Louisiana is better, though a little too salty. In a similar vein, look for Builliard's (the gold standard) or Frank's Red Hot sauce. Both are excellent.
Yeah, that Srirachan stuff is good.
Just for kicks, try some of this stuff too: Timmy's Torrid Tonic - Caffeinated Hot Sauce - http://www.thinkgeek.com/caffeine/accessories/66c7/. Caffiene and heat all in one!

I have some - Pur Cap (not really a sauce but an additive) that is 500,000 scoville units on the scoville heat scale - jalapeno is about 3,500 - 4,500
Pure Cap will peel paint off of a Mac truck, eat though the metal and put a new breather hole in the engine block:)
I like Dave's and Da Bomb - check out this site if you like hot sauce (Canadian Site for Beeng) - Da Bomb is 2,000,000 on the scale!
I love hot sauce and have a nice little collection going.

I don't really like putting sauces on foods unless it's a salad.beeng wrote:
I duno about you, but after living overseas and eating bland british food for months on end, I've grown accustomed to certain hot sauces. I think I'm addicted now.
I'm just wondering what everyone's favourite hotsauce is. We all know tabasco is the 'staple sauce' when it comes to hot sauces, so I'm looking for other ones.
I miss beeng. Did he die?
