...and I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. I recently reinstalled windows along with BF2, drivers, patches, and all that good stuff. However, ever since then, some of the time whenever i press a key the game will act like it is continuing to be pressed, even when it isn't, or all my input will lag behind 5+ seconds. Extremely annoying, and making many things, such as flying with keyboard only, impossible.

I use a MX518 and a G15, but have yet to have this problem while flying planes with my joystick.

It was working fine before, and obviously it can type and I can play source fine, but maybe that's it. How could i check something like that though?

opem up a note pad and press every key see if any of them repite it self if thats fine check options in BF2 make sure non of the keys are the same ( it shouldent be as BF2 will not let it but still worth checking )

The notepad check was fine, and as you suspected the key settings were too. We did jsut get Fios installed, perhaps some port settings got changed.
