I had a crash yesterday which occured while browsing with Firefox.

After that my screen, or more accurately the site inside the firefox window, has been shacking at seemingly random times.

I have reinstalled twice and the second time I searched for evertyhing that had "mozilla" or "firefox" in the name.

Still, the shaking continues.

Anyone having these problems or know a possible solution?

I use 1.507 now. I used the 2 beta but the problem is with both of the versions.

I'm pretty sure it's not a virus, since I scanned my computer with fully up to date Norton after I noticed the problem.

I haven't seen the news today, but I think it's not that either...

I have used Firefox for aroud a year now and the only trouble I have had are ocasional lock ups.

Nothing annoying besides this one so far

I had this problem, you have to have at least one link in the space above the tabs

You beat me to it

I notised it when I shut off some of the bars and found out that the nookmark bar was the one causing it.
I added one bookmark and problem was solved

Norton sucks.  Use AVG, it's free. Kthxbye.

Just because you use it, and you "haven't had any viruses", doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

Wanna specify why it sucks or are you just an AVG fanboy and forced to say everything else sucks?

Although I use Norton at the moment, I am well aware that whilst it is probably the most secure of all the anti-virus and internet security suites available (at least according to most of the PC mags, I definitely know it came top in PC Advisor's round up recently), it is a bit of a resource hog and slows your system down more than ohers.

McAfee Internet Security Suite gives a 6% drag on a rig compared to 13% from Norton. Funnily enough, whilst sacrificing some functionality and security, with only a 1% drag on a system is Microsoft Windows Live OneCare. So, whilst it won't stop as many intrusion attempts as Norton, it doesn't slow the computer down anywhere near as much and obviously is way better than turning all your security off whilst you're gaming.

P.S. I'm still tired and stressed from crashing my car yestrerday and read the title of this thread as "Skanking whores when browsing with Firefox". I need rest.
