So there is much debate regarding the validity of this particular card. What do you think is it a good unit or just a  gimmicky piece of rubbish.

Personally i think that sticky taping two unperforming units together is not cutting edge technology.

What do you think?

(I AM AWARE I SCREWED THE POLL UP)

I think it's ok.  And yes, you did screw it up.

Yes it is a good card. Are there faults like every other card? Yes. Are there more than normal? Maybe, I have played/experienced 2 of them, 1 at work, and 1 at an internet cafe. The one at the internet cafe played bf2 all high settings, no lag, perfect. But after 5 hours of it, the thing just.... fucked itself in the ass. It was like all lows and wasnt able to distinguish between stuff. The one at work still hasnt malfunctioned.

It is a good card, but I wont buy one.

7950Gx2 = Motorola Razr when it first came out, popular, but wasnt ready for the time it was in.

Ugh.  I have a RAZR V3c and trust me, it ain't that good.  Sure it looks cool, but there are several bugs in the phone's OS, and the videocam kinda sucks.  You get like, 5 FPS on that thing.

EXACTLY.  If you haven't purchased a high end card yet, WAIT.  Do what I did: get a 7600 for about $100 - $130 and wait for a DirectX 10 part.  7600 will play BF2 on high just fine.

i think it great .... I needed a card NOW (needed a pci-e card). But when dx10 supported games start appearing ... guess what ... I'll buy a dx10 card then.

I'm not a kid .. and when i was a kid i didn't have sh1t.  I know where ur coming from though, but its silly to constantly wait for hardware... it turns over so quick ... you'll never be on top of it. How big of a deal is dx10 anyway ... it was like that with 9c .. how many games are actuallly using branching shaders?
