Ok, I apologize if this is redundant, but my searches found nothing like this.
**EDIT: The options are a bit vague and i can't edit them..but the second one should say "ADD FEW HUNDRED THOUSAND MORE FORCES TO DO INTENDED JOB"
It's obvious from most sources, and recent news topics that Iraq is obviously a mess, in civil war (or "headed there" by those in denial), a breeding/training/recruiting ground for new enemies of our country (i specifically do not call them terrorists since this term is totally misunderstood in this present day and useage), and of course we all know who the author is of this problem. Bashing of Bush aside, what should be done NOW?
Many cry for immediate withdrawal, and they are certainly not to blame for such a sentiment as it should be their OWN who they wish safety for. Many realize that immediate withdrawal will result in a land of chaos and destruction and it will obviously continue to be a land that this country will be threatened by (unlike before we invaded it when Saddam was in power) and our return would be needed. Should there be a shift in forces allocating the bulk of them towards the original threat in Afghanistan (Taliban forces are coming back to life and wreaking havoc and copying successful fighting techniques used in Iraq)? Or...should we stay the course?
Please be mature and specific in your solution. If needed, talk as if you are the policy maker and you are actually planning the solution for what to do about Iraq. I've got my opinion (add 500k forces - even if draft is needed - and evenly distribute forces between Iraq and Afghanistan..and listen to generals on the ground). What's your thoughts?
