seems like yesterday that ddr was the latest thing going lol
can you suggest a new motherboard on that site i linked u too?
Sorry bud But thats way too high for a Vidio card. Heck i have a Evga 6800 256mb PCIe sitting here id sell for $40 and it overclocks over 40% without a sweat. Not even a 3 degree rise in heat.
As for your choices in motherboards, Therees not a board out that supports a SocketA XP 3000 that has PCI-Express slot. Just AGP, and With Vista comeing out soon, AGP will fineally be on its way out. Your best bet, is to hold out as long as possible and get your parts one at a time, starting with a new processor and Motherboard. The PSU Isnt a Big Priority, Because theres adapters for you to use if you need to, But I would get one soon though.
Then worry about DDR2 and a decent SATA Hard drive.
Good luck

ill get a new processor, has to be AMD and can be like dual core
No disrespect, but given that you are asking some pretty rudimentary questions about PCs I would very much advise against building your own unless you have someone more knowledgeable on hand to help.
Although more expensive, I would say your best route would be to save up a little more money and buy a complete PC, that way all of the configuring will have already been done for you.
This is not a flame, I just think that given the questions you are asking you are going to spend a lot of time frustrated at a PC which isn't working correctly.

I build my own pc's built around 40 but havent touched dual-core yet, im just asking for advice from people who have had experience with the parts so i know im not buying something thats gonna blow up in 2 weeks use. I know very well how a pc works, All I am asking for is advice. I dont want to but a motherboard thats well known to blow up
I have that graphics card, I can run everything on High with no problem! Its a pretty good graphic card. If you were thinking about getting one Its a good buy atleast from my opinion
