So I'm searching for videos on Google Video, and low and behold I find this gem.

I really enjoyed it, and thought I'd share it with the community. Car nuts like myself and those who like speed in general will enjoy the video.

OMG. Thats damned crazy! But the Corvette got pwnt by a Porsche! LOL!

But personally, I prefer the Corvette (after all those sweeeeeet Ferrari's). I love the old models from 65 to 75.

Very hard to watch, with the boint blank zooms and all but the race was cool. why could they not have a Mustang in there!

lol, the Z06 would have had the Porsche, if not for the risk of rear-ending another car in front of him, lol.

I'm a fan of American sports cars myself, but I wouldn't mind a Ferrari/Lamborghini. No Porsches for me, though. I don't think they sound good at all.

Cool video. This summer I went to Cannon Beach, Oregon, and while I was there the parking lot of the hotel I was staying in was a checkpoint for a car rally like this one. It was pretty cool, there were a bunch of ferraris and stuff, I'll dig up some pics. They were all talking about how after they sped for a while they had a police helicopter following them.

I so don't get that video or the reason you posted it. First half was a guy walking around a parking lot with a lot of italian and german cars. When he eventually found this z06, he appeared to have an epileptic fit, so there wasn't a single decent shot of the car. And then there were some straight-line, rolling start drag races between more italian and german cars. Yet again, nothing of the z06.

Maybe I've been watching the wrong TV programmes but when someone posts a video of a car, I expect to see what it looks like (from the outside) and to see it performing - going round corners, getting a bit sideways, that kind of thing. Straight lines are so dull. Even my 18 year old volvo can go in a straight bloody line.

Gem? More like germ.

Meh, opinions. Your idea of a video and mine differ. I posted it because it had awesome cars, going fast. Italian, German, American. The Z06 was involved in every single race. So its not just between the Italian and German cars. I liked the video. I'm sorry you were expecting something else.

Also, My 10 year old Cavalier goes in a straight line too. I like going in a straight line.

Sorry, but I find it hard to believe that a high range Ferrari would be beaten by a vette, unless they truely weren't interested in winning.

Not saying that the 'vette isnt a powerful car, just that those Ferraris and didnt seem interested in racing.

GM claimed an acceleration time of 3.9 seconds for the Z06, Motor Trend tested and came up with 4.3 second, same as the Ferrari 360.

I think that could mean the Z06 really won.

Why is that bs, I seen videos of McLaren F1s going 220 and it seem the same as this vid inside the car. And he would have to do over 200 to beat the cars he was racing.
