What is the difference between Accuracy  and Sniper Accuracy ?
I'm ranked around 70 in Accuracy  and about 72,000 in Sniper Accuracy  yet I only ever play sniper and use a sniper rifle.
Doesn't seem to make much sence.

accuracy is the overall accuracy for every weapon you use averaged out into one statistic, sniper acc. is well acc. with the sniper rifle

Accuracy is the TOTAL number of shots you've made with infantry weapons and the TOTAL number of hits
Sniper Accuracy is the number of shots and hits you've made with Sniper Rifles only

The total accuracy count doesn't really matter much..especially if you're a support kit whore or you play on mounted guns alot giving suppression fire while infantry advances.  I think i'm at 9% accuracy overall now cuz of that.

Yup.  I am support with my new account, and I send hundreds rounds down range in every direction.

The reason your rankings are so different is because more people are more accurate with the sniper (than overall)

As the guy above me posted.... If you only EVER play as sniper (as you say), you would have a TERRIBLY high accuracy overall (all shots fired), making you rank high on the accuracy (most snipers get around 30-50%, IMO the less you get, the more you fire, thus the more valuable you are to the team, but the snipers seem to think otherwise). However, if you rank at say... 35% overall, that's EXTREMELY good for overall, but there are people out there who NEVER EVER fire their rifle unless they have a headshot. They miss less than 30% of their shots, so they have MUCHO higher accuracy with the sniper rifle. However, they also play as support, medic and what have you and miss.... A LOT... So they're NOT in the top for overall accuracy, they're good at hitting something not moving, with a HUGE zoom, but can't play otherwise.

So I see nothing weird in your situation.

Your overall accuracy is very high by BF2 standards, but 44.15% is only so-so by the standard of regular snipers.

Mounted guns (wall, vehicle) don't count toward accuracy.

I usually hit my target most every time. If my target is moving I go for a body shot. If its stationary I go for the head shot.
So the 70% doesn't mean anything positive then..

Where do you get 70% from?

You are ranked 69th in the world (of bf2) for accuracy overall simply because you only play the sniper kit.  Snipers have the most accurate weapons and hence everyone has the best accuracy of any kit in that one.

Your sniper kit accuracy is 0.4449 - you hit the target 44.49% of the time and this ranks you 72,256 of all the bf2 players.  By comparison, my sniper kit accuracy is 0.4575, which is not much better than yours.  However, I am ranked 56,056 - a whole 16,000 places above you.  So you see, for very little difference in accuracy, there's a lot of people in between us.

Btw, I am not trying to say I am better at being a sniper than you.  Just explaining how the ranks work.
