i dunno if you guys have this problem, but if you do please help! Just recently, i started to have lag. Not because of ping, but bf2 itself. Now when i play other games (ie CS) it doesn't lag. This lag is kinda hard to describe so i'll try my best...When i play a round, it'll start smoothly but then within a few minutes it's starts to lag. For example, i'll be looking around, then the lag kicks in and i find myself looking in the other direction and like 5m away from where i was! WTF?!?!?! what's going on? Another example is when i'm on a building in Karkand and i step forward to place a claymore and the lag kicks in. Next thing i find is that i'm falling down and i died. great. another death for me. So i did destructive recovery on my comp - meaning i wiped my whole harddrive and restored it to factory settings - and i still have this freakin lag! I tried everything! Virus scans, spyware scans, disabling antivirus when i play and it still doesnt work!

Comp specs:

3ghz processor
2 gb of DDR-400 ram
6600 GT OC BFG
250 GB harddrive
Spysweeper
Norton internet Sec. (which i just deleted)

i have the EXACT same problem man. it seemed to start when i got admin powers on my server, with patch 1.3. patch 1.4 seemed to lessen the choking slightly, but still an annoyance. however, when i play on patch 1.12, the game runs absolutely perfect. (thanks DICE!) i wish i had an answer for you, i am considering reformatting my comp. but if yours had no effect, then i guess theres no point

i know! i hate it when i'm sniping and i have the guys head in the xhair and then it freezes....sigh~ he was my 26th guy who got away

hmmmm. i found when i play single player, it does the same thing and when i unplugg my net, there's no lag...but i just wiped my computer...there shouldn't be any spyware etc.

Yes - I have it too. Had zero lag on 1.3, installed 1.4 and then lots of it. It's making some games unplayable. I redid all the tips for lag reduction from Boris and still loads of lag. Funnily enough it seems worse on 32 player maps than 64.
Agree microphage, it really messes up your sniping. And seeing as thats wat I like to do most it's pretty annoying.

Hello gamers,

Exactly same problem here.After patch 1.4 , lag is awfull. I statr the game  and when I want to go in a tank I'm still out for 30sec but I canb move the tank!!!
No problem with patch1.3 ( thx Dice !! )
I have reinstall the game without success. Now, I will try to reinstall the game with patch 1.3 and try if it's better.
I will let you know about the results !
