How do you open ports?

When i login to my Windows XP account i cant get to websites, i keep pinging out, but i can play games, use a few instant messangers, and talk on TS(with no lag or connection problems!), When i logon to the guest account i can access websites(thats what im doing right now). Does anyone know how to fix this?, or maybe what ports need to be opened on my account? I think it has to do with the Azueres BitTorrent program sutting down a port without my knowledge.

Any help is appreciated! (with a bit of karma )

Is your windows firewall setting on XP the same for your login account and the guest account?

Anyway websites (http) uses port 80
