Yes I would play the Assualt Kit more If I didn't enjoy Engineer/Support/Sniper so much.

I enjoy Assault for the fact that I don't have to worry about giving teamates repairs, ammo packs, med kits/revive, I can just wail away with my rifle. Plus I wish they would give more smoke grenades, they can such a good defensive/offensive tool and the smoke volume is weak and too short lived. POE has the better smoke grenade system.

And I wish the G3 had a red dot scope.

I use the assault only in city maps and when playing inf_only. The nades are quite useless but the G3 has a nice impact on short and medium distances.

The GL is almost pointless.  I love when I turn a corner, some nub shoots the GL at me and takes away 1/4 of my life, and I proceed to kill him with a few bullets.  Keep using that GL guys, and I will keep killing you.
Tards, the Nade launcher still works great for close enchounters. Learn where to shoot and it's one hit kills like nothing. I love the m203 on karkand.
tards? You cant be serious...  you have a KDR of 1.26 with infantry weapons. A KDR of 1.7 with the nade launcher.. That is about average. You are an average player, keep using your nade launcher every chance you get.

Tell me, how many times have you killed yourself with it?

I think assault is one of the most revarding and best classes to play. I only started playing it some days ago so im not very good at it yet but as they say, practice makes perfect. The ak-101 is definetly the best weapon in the game.

assault is my favorite, but IMO anti-tank is the most rewarding...

I play assault a bit... There's that rare situation where you can actually USE the kit for something. And with IO mode, it's become even more usefull. However, so few maps seems to be well suited for assault. He can't blow stuff up, hasn't got a prayer against armor (ok, he can smoke or flash and try to run, but that's IT), nades are limited (and/or replaced by the much slower reloading launcher), there's no decent zoom to speak of, he can't repair heal or rearm. In fact the "only" team points he can get is for CP and assists !

So I can understand why people dont play it. Unless I go on an infantry style killing rampage, I dont use the kit either. But for that EXACT purpose, the killing spree, there IS no better kit. With the G3 I have superior firepower, outdone ONLY by the sniper rifles. I have a high rate of fire, extreme accuracy on single shot, I get to KEEP my nades, and I can take on snipers and regular infantry alike ! And I have BODY ARMOR !
So on maps with lmited air power, limited number of tanks and a good old fashioned infantry style whoop ass going on, I LOVE the assault kit (Iron gator, Mashtur, Sharqi, Warlord, the smaller Karkand maps, and ANY IO server)

So yeah, I've put myself down as an assault kit user. Albeit a reluctant one. After all, the assault kit is rather limited, but far from useless !

In some case, assault is useless compare to medics .....
For expemple:
You are MEC :
You either have Medic (AK-101, heals, paddles, hand grenades and a knife)
                       Assault (AK-101, smoke greande, greande launcher and knife)

What are you really going to take, it's basicly the same stuff with a difference between
Paddles and heals    OR     smoke grenade.

The assault class is really usefull if you have G3 or F2000....

ive been getting into assault lately, i like how the class gets armor so you can survive more hits, plus im becoming a GL noob because i refuse to learn to play infantry again(for the 3rd time).

I have to disagree. Body armor is 2(!!) more hits with an AK, or another burst with the G36E... by that time you will either have a grenade launched at your feet or assault rifle tearing through you like butter. I can't tell you how many medics I've wasted, and just taken their kit for some health.

Plus, nothing beats getting 3-4 kills with one shot during revive fests

Whatever helps you sleep champ. BF2 is the first FPS I've ever owned for the PC. I had to learn how to play from scratch. This is a first account too. I could easily make another with your so called "leet" stats but I really don't give a fuck. Only a dumbass like yourself would actually try to base talent on stats.

Also, you need a math lesson. A 1.0 KDR is average. Anything above that is above average.

So of course im going to see what kind of player you are, since you like to talk shit.. And yes stats do show how you play weather you like it or not... and yes your average.. 1.7 is also average. 1.27 for infantry KDR is average..

So like I said before keep using that GL, there is nothing wrong with using it... But dont talk shit as if your anything special.

And if you would like a lesson on BF2 leave me the IP you play on and I will be glad to teach you a thing or 2.

I never said the GL was not usefull. I never called it a noob weapon, or discredited anyone for using it.  I just stated that I didnt use it as a MAIN weapon.. I dont run around with the GL out.. I use it like gernades, when it is needed...
