Don't get me wrong, Jordison is an amazingly good drummer, but whilst what he was playing whilst is insanely hard for the average person, is really pretty repetative, upside down or not. Peart on the otherhand, whilst not being upside down, is still better. Drumming skill is not dependant on how well you can play inverted...ShellShock.PwN wrote:

You know, speed and hitting every accessory on the drum kit doesn't really do it for me. Although I totally respect people who do that, I like more listening to cross-rhythms and complicated stuff which constitutes more than just keeping time or doing a drum solo.
Can't name any drummers who do that right now. Tom Larkin may count, althouh he's a rock drummer. The drummer from "Trinity Roots" would count, but I don't know his name.

I've seen that before, my main problem with it is that it's all technique. It doesn't really sound that crazy, he's hitting the same few drums over and over again with the same rhythm. The reason I love that Neil Peart video is because he's doing everything, he uses every drum, but also uses the same drums with different rhythms. It's not all just crazy bass, it changes sounds all the time. It's simply amazing.ShellShock.PwN wrote:

I dont know whats wrong. My toms can't go any lower either, which I think is part of the problem. The bass drum is int he way...

Niel Peart is awesome and probably the best.
John Bonham who also passes the talent on to his son who is great in his own right.
