In response to a previous post I have posted this topic to deal with the problem of the name change.
Problem:
A direct change of name at login screen is not a good idea because of certain inmature people who enjoy doing stupied things in game that get them banned/kicked from servers ie: team killing for laughs. If a Direct name change were possible they would simply go to login..change their name...and go right back to a now unsuspecting server to continue their acts of pissing other people off.
Solution: (I hope this is read by developers)
Allow people to create a new account with a specific unique name and the transfer their stats over to that new name after a waiting period were in their old name will be checked electronically against the ban list(s). If their name comes back clean the user gets his new unique name and if it comes back tainted then either the change will be refused or accepted and the new name replaces old name on ban list.
With present day technology a change of name option is not an unreasonable thing ask or implement.
