An old vid of the BF2 attack chopper superiority. downloaded it ages ago, just saw it again and realized this;
whenever you kill someone, the army flag is next to the kill message.
PLUS, the MEC are red, USMC are blue. like back in bf'42. no blue = friendly, red = enemy.
even in the chopper you see the red come up, and when they killed, messages were in red.
i'd have prefered it that way. not the flags though, they look kinda bulky and shit.
