Its not quite as bad as it looks, because if you think about it there were only half as many guns to unlock, and you wouldn't want people having them all unlocked by 20k or whatever now would you

No I'd really prefer that people only had like 1-2 unlocks at noob status, and 4-5 unlocks at "leet" status (above 100K points). Once someone has ALL the unlocks, then what's the freggin' point ? EVERYONE can choose whatever weapon would suit their needs best. The "old" way, people had to make a choice, and if that choice was a bad one on the map that just started, then "har har, sux2bu". I LIKED that. Having to stalk my prey to kill him and steal his G3 (if that's the prefered weapon on that particular map). It also meant that for clan fights, you wouldn't go let the guy WITHOUT the sniper unlock take the position as team sniper (assuming one would be needed). And the DAO-12 TOTALLY R0X0RED ! because NOONE had it, and noone picked it, but it is SO much better than all the other shotguns, high rate of fire, automatic fire, fast reload, 12 rounds in the chamber.... It was REALLY nice in close quater, and for backup you had the eryx/predator, which was really handy in case of tanks. Noone ever though of the AT kit as being the "best one", but when you had the DAO, and everyone else had stock, it WAS the best one.
But that's besides the point, the discussion was about the original ranks, And I only remember the ones up to first sergant, I've posted those, everything else from me would be purely guesswork.
