Which are which?
I know for sure that the M4 is a carbine tho, but wat about all the others? I have never been able to figure out a difference between carbines and assault rifles...any help?

A carbine is a firearm similar to, but generally shorter and less powerful than, a rifle or musket of a given period. There have been many carbines developed from rifles, being essentially shorter rifles firing the same ammunition, although usually at a lower velocity, and there have also been many where the carbine and rifle adopted by a particular nation were not technically related, such as using completely different ammunition or internal operating systems (though the carbine still being weaker, or of smaller size). Which may be more common depends on the time period

I think the only carbine in BF2, is that of the M4.. the rest are ARs.

All of the special ops weapons in BF2 can be classified as carbines, they're essentially smaller and weaker variants of their parent assault rifle (G36C and G36E for example). In the game carbines are also more accurate. Hope that clears it up for you my friend.

if you have Carbines as ure favourite weapon, ure BFHQ shows up with a ak47....

Technically, a carbine is a shorter version of an AR and uses the same ammo and same interchangerable parts. i.e the M4 is a smaller M16A2, the G36C is a smaller G36E, and such
