I don't know what EVERYTHING means, but I'll tell you what I DO know.
- Major symbol you wanna look for is the little rank badge next to the server name. It means it's a ranked server (gives you points towards unlocks and promotions).
- The filters are also pretty important. The main filters you usually put on are "Punkbuster's", the rank sign, and now with the 1.4 patch, you can toggle IO on and off (labelled 'No Vehicles').
That's all I really know, I'm not much with the 'inner workings' of BF2 lol. Hope I helped.

if i can remember, first one is the server type, which can be linux 64 etc. then the bf2 type (vanilla, SF, AF, or EF. then it is ranked or not which has the corporal sign. the headphones means it either has Voip. the little guy thats crossed out means punkbuster and lastly is the computer screen, which i dont really know. thats all i remember. well lets see if someone else can tell the rest

How bout the bars on the left of the server names? Sometimes I see red, sometimes green and sometimes a yellow triangle candy looking type of icon. What do they mean?

Yeah, I would love someone to tell me that too... I always guessed it to be like, server demand or something.

The load on the server, if it's red, there is a lot of traffic, if it's green, it's low traffic, which usually results in less server lag. But don't look at it too much, it's often red.

The green screen is whether the server has battlerecorder or not.  The colored bars next to the type of server represents server load, but you don't need to pay attention to that.  Most Linux servers will always show green and most windows servers will always show red.

Honestly, I've seen no difference between the two.  I don't pay attention to the server type or server load when I join a game.

I believe that this means that is is a dedicated server vs locally hosted from a client machine.

this whole section is good, but the bits your after are towards the end.

oh, and with the filters, clicking them and getting the X, means it will only show you servers that match that box.

E.G,  and X in ranked servers, will only show ranked servers.  In case thats what you were asking in your first post.
