For the past month when it gets to peak times my internet goes real slow. By peak times i mean 7pm - 11pm and at dinnertime. This makes my downloads go to 30 kb tops on a 2meg connection and my ping around 300 on uk servers (Where i Live).

Over the last week or so this is now all the time. Does anyone know whats causing this and what i can do to help.
I have checked my modem by using a friends pc and its fine and other suggestions?

Thanks to all those with helpful posts.

hmmm... I'd call your ISP and comlain. You're supposed to get a dedicated bandwidth with dsl. Cable modem users share bandwidth with their neighbors, that's why I asked.

They blamed Christmas lights on a slow dsl line? hahahaha.

It's time to change the isp.

They know it just turned to October, right?
