That Saleen S281 is pumping 912rwhp the saleen wouldnt even have to try...
Could you post where you found those spec? That's one heck of a Mustang and must be more heavily modified. All the sites I looked at for a 2000 S281 rated it at half the numbers you posted. Here's one:
http://www.maximum-cars.com/Cars/Car.php?carnumber=73Year: 2000
Make: Saleen
Model: Mustang S-281
Base Price: $28590
ΒΌ mile: 13.4 Seconds
0 - 60 MPH: 4.8 Seconds
0 - 100 MPH: 11.9 Seconds
Position: Front Engine
Configuration: Supercharged V8
Valvetrain: SOHC 2 Valves / Cyl
Displacement: 281 CI / 4606 CC
Power: 365.0 BHP / 272.2 KW @ 5000 RPM
Torque: 400.00 FT LBS / 542 NM @ 3000 RPM
Redline: 6000
The supercharged S281 does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and a quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds.
------------------------------------
Here's what the 06 Z06 can do.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/cou … vette_z06/Engine 7.0 L/505 hp/470 lb-ft, OHV 3 valves/cyl V-8
Transmission 6-speed manual
Curb weight, F/R dist 3147 lb, 51/49%
Wheelbase 105.7 in
Length x Width x Height 175.6 x 75.9 x 49.0 in
0-60 mph 3.5 sec
Quarter Mile 11.5 sec @ 127.1 mph
Braking, 60-0 mph 104 ft
Lateral Acceleration 1.05 g avg
EPA City/Hwy Fuel Econ 19 / 28 mpg
So the Vette is already ahead by 1.2 sec in 1st gear. And that's without a supercharger of any kind.
I looked for solid numbers on the 06 Saleen and all they had was a guess of 4.3 on 0-60. The 05 goes 4.5 on 0-60.
http://www.fast-autos.net/vehicles/Sale … 1_Extreme/ So far looks like another win for the Vette. And that's the stock Z06. The Lingenfelter would eat the Mustang for lunch.
