I personally think its O.K , ONLY if all the flags have been taken, but it is really irritating joining a game and spawning and been killed constantly because you were unfortunately allocated to the loosers side but as they say shit happens ;;LOL::.
I am usually the person who WHEN on the winning side likes to give the losing side a chance to get out of there base to try and get a flag, else it is so boring all lined up pelting the base with ordinance what`s the bloody point , I enjoy the game for the hunt and kill, not the raping its so pathetic, I always feel its the people who are really mad about there stats, ranks, badges and not the game play. Ohh well I know that you are going to flame me, but shit its my opinion, maybee there are other like minded player out there ?

if you cant stand baseraping, bf2 is not for you. EA put a crapload of MG's, TOWs, and AA missles in your uncap for a reason, learn to use them or get blown 100 feet in the air by my jet. If you cant stand having tanks sit infront of spawns on city maps go play infantry only.

You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.
Im not a fan of base rape no amount of MG's/TOW's can help you push out 3APC's anf 2tanks plus ART strikes!.
Base rape is a cheap for of getting points as the other team has no chance to do anything but die.
On our server we kick for things such as carrier attack, once it leave's the deck its far game, but it take no skill to hammer around in a J10 bombing the deck for points.
The AA guns on the carrier are no real defence once your team has been pushed back, if you have jets and helo's raping the carrier you have no chance.
It's not often someone with the IQ to get in them spawns near enough to get to them.
Hence its against our server rules, you can sit out the base firing into it all you want as long as you are covering people trying to cap the last flag, but hammering a uncap's a no no!.
If I play on server that allows base rape I play until my team gets to stupid, and gets push to the uncap then I leave and move on.
So in short, base rapes lame(IMO), so move server, let the people who agree with it play it and people who don't play on servers like ours who don't like it.

The whole idea of a team being to stupid does annoy me alittle as no mater how good a player you are you can't carry the other 20 fags in you team, but you get pounded all the same!. So just move on once it gets to that stage.
Or play on our server, or get your own, where you can use the rules to play the game how you and like minded people want to.

it sucks when you're trying to battle your way out of a base rape but very rewarding once you do and return the favor (take the AF at wake as USMC). it doesn't really bother me but can get annoying if your entire team is assault/sniper when tanks are raping you.
I've been playing BF since 1942 beta, awesome series. But the "rules" are a bit pathetic on alot of servers. I understand servers have to work with the public a bit to keep there servers running, but some rules they have are radiculous.
When they realize they can't or they "chose" not to adapt, they complain and make rules. In 1942 if a tank was in your base you did something about it. In Bf2 you cry to the admins and instead of going AT to kill the "camper", you get him kicked. Your unable to out "skill" the enemy, so you twist the game to work for you. And wheather or not you think camping in a main base is skillfull or not. Its the skill that you do not possess to kill the enemy. And by saying "how can you?", "its impossible", "unfair", "blah blah blah", your pretty much saying that YOU are unable to kill the enemy, and YOU need some "assistance". Its like a "handy cap". Your not good enough, so you set rules the "computer" has to follow. But when its all out war.. You know level 10, you get your ass kicked.
Can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.. yea.. you assholes remodled.

what i love about base rapping is its ok for the j 10s to do it on wake to the carrier but once the jets go down and the f 35 starts to rap the airfield everyone starts to complain and say your a pussy and blah blah blah....
it's okay if all other bases are capped
or if enemy has other bases but they all just keep spawning at their uncap
