yeah i think so
no thats "virtual" ram... its used in the same way as ram... only its all on your hardrive... (alot slower than real ram) - this is the thing that has to increase when you overload your comp w/ running stuff (increases page filing, or virtual memory)
the numbers under your Physical memory is your ram...

The reason its a 600 all the time is due to the Processes running in the background, i.e. Winamp, Firefox this will cuase you system to lag. how does it run BF?

Well I end all processes, and then I play BF2. I play everything on low, and there's not too much lag. I was just playing a server with tons of lag... my ping was 200! lol.
Also, how fast will a map load with 2GBs of RAM?

less than 1 minute i think i load a map in about 1-1.30 minutes
wicked. I have 512MB of ram and i load sumwhere between 3 and 6 mins lol.
Depends on the speed/latency of the modules as well. I usually load in under 20 secs and rarely verify more than 10 (sometimes I don't even see it verify).ryan_14 wrote:

before I start-up BF2, my commit charge is ~98m, w/ only 18 processes running. I have 2 GB and a 7900 card, for the reduction in commit I have the old blackviper website to thank. You probably could google him and find it somewhere.
