New computer, NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, i just built a computer for my friend and we went to boot it up, it started for about 10-15 seconds then it just shut off. It keeps doing it and i have no clue what is going on. Nothing shows up on the monitor just a blank screen. Somebody please help me!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks ahead of time!!!!!!!

IDK, but on this system that I'm on now, I got it up and running, set up, Re-booted after a software install, and the thing wouldn't start up. Turned out the PSU was dead.

I'm sorry if this isn't much help, but thats the first thing that came to mind when I read your post.

Check your Wireing to the Mobo, also take out the BIOS Battery for 30 or so minutes a setting in the BIOS may be rebooting your PC

i just checked everything and took the battery out for about a min. Ill hook it up real quick adn see if it works

OMG , people are stupid. The place where i got the mobo, they gave me the wrong one. I needed a pentium D and they gave me a pentium 4 compatible socket. Faggots god. im so mad!!! now i have to take everything apart now and take it back, get a new one.!!! Thanks guys for the help!!!!!
