I've been looking for a while and went down to frys and found a set up by onkyo it sounds amazing, 7.1 surround sound and is at the top of my price range (i'm 16 work about 6 hours a week and recently bought a new car/roadbike/newcomputer so 499 is at the very top...), but for the sound its awesome.

I just recently bought a Samsung HT-Q45 Home theater in a box for around $200ish, 5.1 sound prologic 2, XM Capable, FM capable, 5 dvd player, and total 800watt output. Works great with my Philips Ambient HDTV.  As for the one your looking at, never really heard about the company but i do like the Ipod feature.

yeah i saw that one but it sounded fairly wimpy and didnt come with a receiver which had a lot of really cool options (made it sound good).

Onkyo makes some kick ass stuff. Don't know if it's true now, but Polk Audio used to make the speakers for their HTIB sets.
