hehe I dont think that on a bf2 forum, halo will win, but I can say my opinion.. and some facts.

yeah covenants are weird but eh, thats the funny part of the game, and thats what bungie wanted to do.

Lets think about this:

Enemies:

Halo--Purple turtle thingys that make goo goo gaa gaa sounds and shoot blue light things at you.  Also, big blue monkey men who act retarded and fly purple hovercrafts that shoot purple goo at you.  Lastly, Flood, who are fungus-plant people things that fall apart when you shoot them.

Half-Life--Head crabs that jump on your head and chew off your face and eventually turn you into zombies.  Weird alien beings from an evil dimension that shoot lighting bolts out of their face.  Zombies....lots of them.  Ant Lions that look like gigantic bugs that swarm you and rip you apart. 


Locations:

Halo--A ring thing that ends up falling apart and Earth.  Mostly all during the daytime in areas with sunsets, moons and stars.  Later on a pretty spaceship.

Half-Life--A three mile deep hole filled with a bunch of shit that wants to kill you.  Later on, a sewer with no light, filled with shit that wants to kill you.  Even later, a beach.  Filled with shit that wants to kill you.  Even later than that, a dark ass prison filled with shit that wants to kill you.


Weapons:

Halo--Laser guns, boring futuristic machine guns and SMG's.  A grenade that sticks to "stuff".

Half-Life--A crossbow that shoots a red hot piece of steel rebar that impales people into walls.  A gun that allows you to pick people up and throw them off of cliffs or down holes and, if you want, throw things like cars at them.  A grenade that freezes people and everyone around them in mid-air and them shatters them like glass.


Main characters:

Halo--Some "guy".  Master Chief.  Don't know what he looks like or how he got there or what he did before or nothing.

Half-Life--A scientist with glasses and a suit who had a bad day at work and starting beating things to death with a crowbar.


Touchdown Half-Life.

Although, this pole is entirely biased as people have said, your asking PC gamers (mostly) if they like a PC game more than a console game. Aside from the fact that Half-Life would most likely rip the arms of halo and then eat it's children it's not really a fair pole.

The hardness of a game, unlike the hardness of a penis, dosn't matter. The storyline and situations and environments you're put in is what makes a game awesome, at least for me.

So Half Life is a mod of quake and it's been called the best game ever made by several magazines and critics.  Halo 1 on the other hand had massive funding and had good success as well.

If there were two men, one rich, one dirt poor and they both grew up to be billonaires, which would you consider to be more successful?  Better of the two even?

BTW, what was it exactly that Halo invented?
