We know that the point system in bf2142 encourages squadwork. How about have the point system also encourage drivers with empty cars to not drive past 10 of their teammates? I say DICE should give points and badges needed to hit a certain rank, that way there will be more teamwork, as far as not leaving a teammate to walk 150 miles to the next control point.

What do you say?

No kidding. If you're gonna say that, I want some written/quoted evidence, not some "well I think it encourages teamwork, how bout u guys?"

ugh I assumed everybody knew about  the 1-point-for-everything-cept-2-points-for-squad-based gameplay:/
We do know that you now get 1 points for the majority of things you get 2 points in bf2, right? If you don't, I'll try to find some evidence/quotes.

And Specialistx, I thought teamwork was going to own in bf2142, because I thought everybody was reading up on the new teamwork incentives. Apparently not:/

To fix this, I suggest EA provides a tutorial video on how to get maximum points, just like they made one on the titan mode.

http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=44990&p=3 (this is a q&a on bf2142, with the people answering being beta testers).

post #72 shows the point system for presumably lonewolf action.

I'll try to find a post or whatnot showing the scores for squadwork, then I'll note them in this post.

*edit* http://forums.fevergaming.com/1154267-post4.html 1 extra point for killing inside the area your squad-leader directed you to. This will hopefully encourage newbs to 1) join a squad, and 2) be a *real* squad member and follow orders!

*edit* oh, and squad leaders get points for when their squad follows their orders. l33t. Finding quotes.

You forgot part of that, they walk 150 miles to the next CP, just to get killed, then have to do it all over again lol.

DON'T ARGUE WITH THE BETA-TESTERS!! we know from experience, if you dont work as a squad you can't score too many points. you'll only get 1 point for everything unless its within a squad order radius.

Well at least I never got any more points for doing the stuff SL wanted me to do, it only helped to get field unlocks... Nothing more than that.

Yea really, it's not that hard to understand how BF2142 encourages squadplay.  1 point when I killed someone solo, 2 points when I killed him and was next to my squadmates.

In BF2 you can already do the "soccer van" trick on a heavy jeep by having the driver as any kit, gunner as support, and 2 people in the back throwing out mines or grenades or something. I don't know if its "legal" but hey, its kinda funny when you see a random vodnik driving around throwing c4 out the back like its fliers for some used car sale.
