Which computer game, doesn't matter the genre, caused you to lose sleep, make your social life merely non-existant, cause the red-eye effect and the endless dreams that made you feel you where actually a character in that game?

As for me, it all started with a bootleg copy of Wolfenstein 3d and Doom on a few 3.5" floppy disks...

Battlefield Vietnam, got back the year it came out in April, and summer break I basically lived Flaming Dart, even with the biggest spawn whoring device, the MI-8 (BFV players know what i mean). Over the summer break(2 months and some weeks) I got nearly 400 hours of play time in, not sure on the exact amount, but for comparison BF2 I have barely have over 300 hours, and Ive owned it since 3 days after launch. BFV will always have a special place in my heart, and the MI-8 a special place in hell.

Every game I've ever played i think, but especially Doom. I think it was about 1994, me and my friend who lived just across the street have been known to play 'till 4am, when I had start work the next day at 6am.
Only happened a handfull of times, but man I felt like shit those days.

i was like 8 or 9 playing rollercoaster tycoon. at age ten i started play tomclancy games. then i just didnt play anything until i was like 13 or something. it was then that i got a sick computer and bf1942. that was a good week.

World of warcarft i nearly lost my life to that game.You think oh the sad bastards then play it and its like a crack addiction(not that have ever taken crack).
Also Ogame (online php game) often called Ocrack lost my life to that for a couple of years aswell.

bf2. i never seriously played a game before this one, im 14 now... had knights of the old republick, some jedi knight games, and some RTS games but this is the only one i didnt.....cheat..... on, so it takes a lot longer

wow for the first month then i realised what a big mistake i had done in buying that crappy game, bf2 at times, and my all time favorites the final fantasy games used 200 hours on number 9-10 each didn't go out for like 2 months. and diablo 2

Lol same here. I've never lost social life to video games, but I have lost some sleep to C&C Generals. Mostly because if you're playing someone good, those games can last a long time.

Command and Conquer Generals and the entire GTA series were very addictive, and i often used to lay in bed trying to devise a plan to either defeat an opponent in C&C, or pass a mission in GTA.

Hell i still play all the GTAS. They have to be the best game series EVER!
