I don't take it seriously enough to have bought a new mouse for gaming but need one now anyway - I might as well go for it (2142 on the way etc) - What shoud I be after peeps?

MX518 or G5 for larger hands, Copperhead or Diamondback if you have smaller hands. I think that's the general advice.
But unless you think you need to have on-the-fly sensitivity changes a good-quality optical mouse (not a laser, just an optical) is just fine for gameplay IMO. That's based on me using a Microsoft optical until recently, a G5 now, and as far as pointing ability goes there's not much diff. The extra buttons/functions are a huge help though; wouldn't want to go back to just a two-button mouse now that I'm used to having more functions on one.

I am a mx518 addict. Just bought my third cause I wear them out so badly on the fire button shooting people when they spawn or surfing porn..
I think from now on, I may be using a different mouse for anything not gaming.
WTF! Your supposed to be able to use everymouse button like 3.000.000 times! You play too much games
Hehe, I'd bet it's not how often he's clicked it it's how hard they've been hit
