Cannot turn on aa!!

Problem #1:I tried to turn on aa/antialiasing and the game browser wouldn't let me. I am really curious as to why!

Then problem #2, I went to display settings and set it to 2. (without restarting BF2) Then my screen went half black and half bright white. ANy ideas? I am at work and when i get home I plan on just restarting.

Make sure your drivers are upto date, and check to see if you have forced AA via your Video card settings.

U cant set video settings during a game,

only when logged in ur profile,

set it and re-run the game from start,that should help.?

If we are talking about the same thing, You have to Apply the AA Setting more than once, Cause I tried turning mine on, I had to turn it on 4 times before it would stay.

I can.

but you should try doing it while not in the game anyway. Usually you don't have to set it twice though. the setting you have for the GPU's thing should override whatever the game has set..depending which chipset/drivers you have i suppose.

in your my documents folder you can go into your BF2 folder and edit your video.con
in this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\Dan\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001

copy and paste this

this will not screw up PB or cause any modified content errors... its just the manual way to do it...

Well when i got home yesterday I restarted the game and forced aa on to 2xQ ! Game runs smooth as silk and looks good!

But now I cannot leave dynamic shadows on anything besides off, i wanna leave it on low!

[TUF]Catbox i am sorry but if all else fails i will try this

I've had a problem with AA before where when I set it on it just turned itself off, all I had to do was restart bf2 and try again untill it worked.

Yes, the option may be disabled, try to open the controll unit for your card " should've come with your updated drivers." Also some of the older cards automaticly turn it off "or donot have it."

I did force on aa through my control panel and it worked, but dynamic shadows WILL NOT turn on!!
