When i am sniper and i'm sitting on a roof i always place a claymore at the ladder for safety, but it seems whenever i do some idiot from my team climbs the ladder and get killed. most of the time they punish me! There's a warning sign they can see but they never think. Is it really worth using claymore???

Yes, who cares if they die.  "One less idiot alive" is my philosophy.

ya, i still use the claymore to cover my butt. but i always do it anyways just for safety. i mean sure i might get punished for it, but eh who cares not my fault they can't check for claymores before they climb (WHICH THEY SHOULD ANYWAYS)

but i think that red skull is just like the bug zapper of gamers we should stay away but they can't because of it's attraction...

I set them as well, and am amazed they still work!  That is the first thing I look for when I crest a ladder.  Because they will not go off till you get off the ladder.

I don't actualy set them any more to kill some one, just so I cannot be snuck up on.  Either the grenade will let me know some one is comming, or kill me. . . and any person with 1mg of grey matter and at least 1 working eye should toss a greade if they MUST climb the lader.  Any person with 2+mg of grey mater will likly try to grenade me first, and hope it sets off the claymore if they have already seen me.

Also the who cares philosophy was nice. . . untill my first server kick because of it.  Oddly EVERY ladder climbing claymore idiot has punished me.  Do they think that is thier revenge for beeing dumb?  Belive me, loosing a perfectly damed good claymor to remove an idiot from my sight was punishment enugh.  True I would like you gone, and would hapily have traded the claymore for it.  Yet they come back faster than claymores, which realy does not make it worth it.

Oh, also they absorb bullets that show me enemies in the fog better than claymors. . . mainly because unlike claymors, they have no sence of direction or purpose.  As such they will often wonder, then stand arround in a usless open spot.  rinse and repeast.

Actually, claymores have found a lot more use in my opinion in smarter locations in SF... I was top sniper on a Warlord server for several rounds, despite having killed some idiot teammates, because the zipline and claymores make a sniper an actual viable option for capturing points.

Offensive claymoring is fun.

on some servers you cant kill your teammates with claymores grenades etc and so you cant be punished i think in some time more servers will have this.

Can't C4/Claymore/landmine give you a minus or two for the teamkill instead, but not four as always. Those stupid suckers really enjoy killing themselves on the behalf of their teammates' scores.

i just turn around every now and then.

i'm not the kind of sniper who sits and waits and watis and kills. I go up front to the enemy and headshot them from a few meters.
