A little off topic but since we're talking Spec-Ops guns, one gun that's never mentioned is the AK-74U. It's single shot accuracy is sniperesque in my experience and it's one damage point from being in the assault rifles category. It drinks souls in close quarters.

Agree, when playing SPETZ/Rebels/Insurgents/MECSF I always use it.
Actually, I choose the G36 only when I'm Seals.

I gave my votes to the G36E and the P90. I unlocked the SCAR-L, and I find it to be the most worthless piece of crap around. I know some people like it, but I hate its recoil problems, and it sounds like an airsoft gun. The F2000 is good, I use it when playing SAS, but if you're happy with using the M16, then it doesn't add much variety to the Assault kit (although it does have damage 34, so you can get one-shot-kills with headshots. It's less accurate than the M16, and less powerful than any of the other assault rifles. Definitely not a first-string choice, in my opinion.

The G36E is an excellent weapon, very versatile, very accurate at all sorts of ranges. Not much can be said against it. Loses out in very close combat to the more powerful, full-auto AK's, but otherwise it's amazing. The P90 is not a bad weapon at all, really. Mechanically superior in pretty much everyway that matters to the other SMGs (except in draw time and maybe reload, I think). It means that you can add variety to your Anti-Tanking kit without having to suck up using the seriously sub-par stock SMGs. With 900 rpm and a 50 round magazine, you can tear people up in close combat, and not run out of ammo after one guy. In theory, you can also use it for single-shotting people at range, but honestly you're better off using your pistol or SRAW/Eryx for that.

The numbers are taken from the game files, so should be pretty accurate. Honestly, I don't know what unit that range is given in. I guees it must be metres, since that's the default unit for most things in the game. 1000 metre shots with anything is pretty unlikely, but 500 is doable, so the difference comes in when you're sniping right across maps, some guns can do it, some simply can't, no matter how good you are.

I'm still kicking myself (I'm very bendy...) for unlocking the MP7 instead of the P90.

It is good when up close and with the healthy ammo count you should be able to dispatch a few enemies before running out.
And I guess it's equally good (bad) as the standard SMG's on longer range so with this gun you've got a nice weapon for close and medium range combat.

The G36E is user friendly. That's all I need to say about it.

It's real simple. MP7 and P90 are the same exact gun, except for 10 more bullets in the p90, and a .7 longer time to reload. If you dont like your mp7, you'll hate your p90.

G36E is a great gun. End of story. Acctually its too powerfull right now. But hey, why bitch if you are the one using it.

F2000 is a fun gun to use, but a tad diffrent. Only way I can describe it, is that its bouncy. Takes a bit of time to get used to.

SCARL is alright. But i'd rather have the faster shooting G36C.

AK-74U is a good gun. I prefer the better accuracy of the G36C though. Functionally, anything that does more than 20 damage will kill with the same amount of shots as the M16.
