Hi I'm am looking to upgrade my PC current specs are:

1GB ram
geforce5600fx 256MB AGP
3ghz Pentium

i play on a average of 20-25 fps everything on low on 800x600 res.
i am upgrading all the components listed above + motherboard to one that supports SLI and PCI-E.

and i need some help deciding on the GPU, What do you guys and gals recommend:  2 x 7600GT (256MB 128bit) in SLI or
1 x 7950GT (512MB 256bit) or neither, please reply.

Thanks for you help, appreciate it.

i post this again as i accidentally posted it in the wrong part of forums last time lol I'm new to these forums.

thanks again

I would get the 7950GT and then go SLI in the future...but most of all I would go with 2GB of RAM first...

2GB of RAM and a single 7600GT would be better than 1GB and 7950GT IMHO...

Good ram, preferably 2 gigs, and a 7600GT. You can upgrade to DX10 afterwards if you feel like it, and it won't put such a large hole in ur wallet.

within reason, RAM is more important. so far though, with the PSU, a 7600 and two gigs of RAM, youre looking nicely balanced.

the two 7600 proably will out perform better but have an upgradable life of zero..  they wont be out of date anytime soon.  but the 7950 has a buildable future.......hmm tough call. either way...youll win over your current rig.....

overall, just personally, id go with a good 7950, look into it alot first...some 7950s suck..... check newegg.com andf readreviews to get a good base on it all....

No 7950 SLI in the future. 8800.
