dont know if this has been asked before. i have had a search but can not find what i need to find.

Are there different Ranks which can be obtained depending on different awards?

I am a Staff Sergeant, then my next rank is going to be Gunnery Sergeant, then first sergeant, then Master gunnery Sergeant.

However, i have seen people who are Ranked as Gunnery Sergeant, and their next Rank is First Sergeant, then Sergeant Major, then 2nd Lieutenant.

What is the deal with that?
What is the correct order of Ranks from Staff Sergeant upwards?

If you have all the basic badges at 20k you get First Sergeant.  If not, Master Sergeant.

If you have all the basic badges at 50k, you get Sergeant Major.  If not, Master Gunnery Sergeant.

I'm pretty sure those badges need to be "Vetran" badges instead of "Basic."

It's basic.  I'm a sgt mjr and I don't have vet armor, air defense, or transport.

Doesn't quite work like that.

For first sergeant you need to have the basic class combat badges, plus basic knife and pistol.

For sergeant major, you need the basic vehicle badges and ground defence badge.
