Just had such a cool round, i was on -40 the most of the round, then my alliance switched on me to try and rape me for easy points, thinking I was weak.... except I'd held back most of my nukes... slaughtered about 70 million people in a couple of minutes, and finished 4 points ahead, although there were nukes about to fall on most of my cities in Europe... love that victory timer...

I knew I was pretty sick of Battlefield 2, I might play 2142, but in the mean time, this is one of the greatest games I've played for ages... it's as much a thinking game as chess with more players, backstabbing and nukes

Darwinia was great, but like Uplink didn't have long term appeal, although when they get multiplayer sorted on it I'll probably play it again. It is planned, apparently.

I see this new game as having much greater long term appeal, as basically it is designed as multiplayer from the ground up. When people quit out, the AI takes over, but the politics in this game are awesome. I love the mode where everyone starts on the same alliance... you can cut the tension with a knife waiting for the moment when all hell breaks loose...
