LOL I'm debating between the 2. I have a A64 3500+ right now, I mainly play BF2 and I'll dabble in 2142 when it comes out and maybe quake wars. Mainly I'll stick with BF2 though. Not sure how much noticeable difference would come from a processor upgrade. My video card is an AGP 6600GT and I have 2GB of dual channel. The RAM made a very nice difference in loading times and a bit of a visible FPS increase. I'm hoping the new processor would help me run more things on higher settings with faster FPS. Basically if you had 300 bucks (CDN) what would you do?
If you are going to upgrade go for a dual core, theyre the future man! And anyway you wont be able to play Alan Wake very well without one......and Im telling you you're gonna want to play that game!
wow, a set of clubs for around 300 Canadian? Must be crap...
get a 4800+, thats what ive got
ya what clubs are you buying???? getting a nice putter or something?
get the clubs and go playing, the real world is awesome
I'm not an AMD fan, however I do like computers much better than golf so go for the processor.
Haha maybe. I'm just looking to get a decent set of irons, anything will be better than the set I have now. I have a decent 3 wood, driver and putter. My dad says now is the best time to buy clubs because of end of season discounts and whatnot. To be honest theres no difference (to me) between an 'old' set of brand new '06 clubs and a 'new' set of '07 clubs.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

The problem with buying clubs is I wont get to use them until like April lol
My golf club set was about 750 USD
I would oc that cpu beyond Athlon64 x2 4600 2.4ghz stock speed. I have the same cpu and I am at 2.6ghz on air. (not a great overcock to brag about I know but I am still at FX-55 speeds for a lot less $)turkeybacon wrote:

so...oc your cpu and go golfing.
yikes...are you talking just irons though? Ideally I would get a set or irons along with a SW,PW and LW marked down at 50% off from this huge golf liquidator near me. It might be closer to 350 though...PspRpg-7 wrote:

Anyways I just thought of another idea, I could buy a cheap ASUS PCI-E board and a decent PCI-E video card for around the same price as one of the dual core processors. It might be a bit more expensive, but it allows for more flexibility since I cant even find a good AGP nvidia card thats worth an upgrade.
I might make another thread with a poll, A64 x2 4600+ ($289.00) or ASUS PCI-E board and 7600GT ($339.00) :p
Nope. Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 2-9 iron, pitching wedge sand wedge, bought a lob wedge, 7 wood and putter separate.turkeybacon wrote:

And no, it didn't all come in one set like that in the store, I bought them slightly used (Maybe one game at most) from on my my mom's colleagues.

Gotta agree. You can't get a decent set of club for this price. so offhand, I'd go for the CPU. However, if you mean just ONE quality club, then yeah.. go for the club. The extra CPU power is totally a waste of money for BF2.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

Clubs...Besides, next year, you are going to need to get an 8800GT and Vista so save your money...But, isn't the winter coming on...hmm.
there still going strong to this day. went down to hilton head in august (too friggin hot) and played a few rounds this summer. i tested a new 24 degree hybrid, flippin loved the club. i was this close to buying one as soon as i got home. definately have one by next summer. try them, there awesome. i hit every fairway off the tee with it!!!!!
