BF2S Forums Fall of Battlefield

Well I guess it´s up to us!!!

As long as people shows interest in BF there might be hope!
I don´t think that I´m gonna start over again just to be some futurama bitch ass officer.. I´m gonna play BF2 as long as there are friends playing it with me and of course some resistance!!!  Why?? Cause I like this shit!!!!! That´s why!!!!!!!
I´ve had so much fun during my 700 hours on the field that I have even said no to pussy sometimes just to get a good game with the gang. How many games makes you do that, huh, how many!!???

I don´t wanna start it all over again... Buy the game, connect to a server, and:
"OMFG N00b, out of my Battle Walker blah, blah, blih, blah", then there comes the new  the patches and we sure do know the rest...

BF2 has been interesting to follow, how it has been developed, nerfed, modified and so on, but I don´t think that I can start it all over again, especially in the futuristic combat.... Well, in that game we can totally forget realism for sure(Not that there´s much of it in this game for that matter).  People wishing plasma rifles, light sabers and shit..

I hope that there will be other soldiers by my side till the end, I hope that people will prefer BF2 cause it´s dealing with todays weapons, not future crims crams n´shit!!!

Off course it´s good that there is a future thingy also for those who likes sci fi stuff, probably we will see a medieval BF too some day, like the good old Mount & Blade. Many like that stuff to, I´m one of them!!!

Well, let´s just hope that there is enough people of every sort so that the BF Saga can go on!!!!

heh, games come and go.  the Battlefield series had its time.  I'm already bored with BF2, not because of the patches.  '42 and Vietnam was fun while it lasted.  I just pre-ordered 2142 for my little brother, he loves BF2 I might as well get him 2142 since I built him a new computer.  I'm not going to play BF2 for a while since I got bored with it.

my confirmed opinion of 2142 can now be summed up in 2 words.......its horrible

People expecting 2142 to be better than BF2 will be disappointed.

Battlefield 2142: Right now itll take me 5 hours to download the demo. I was SO excited about the game and the futuristic goodness. I tried to ignore the BETA players saying it sucked. I told myself "What a bunch of impatient retards" but now, reading the demo posts I can see a dark future for the next generation of the Battlefield games. Already people are reporting how the gameplay sucks, it crashes like 1.3, and other crap.
Now Im kinda scared because Ive played these games all the way to BFV.

Anyone else fear the decline of the Battlefield series? Is 2142 really that bad?

the beta only crashed in the last patch, but thats because they patched the engine to the same one as 1.3. the full game will undoubtedly be better.

I dont want that to happen. DICE created BF2 and BF2 is the best game Ive played. Dumping Dice would be a great waste of talent. But theyve made lots of bad decisions.....

Dumping DICE would also mean no BF3 that everyone seems so eager about.

The pace of 2142 is too slow compared to BF2. And the new air vehicles are horrible and boring. The weapons aren't very interesting either. They say there are no lasers but the ground defense gun might as well be one, it would be a lot cooler if it were. They never mentioned the glowing orb projectile weapons either...

Me too, I only got it 5 months ago and I still love this game. I see no reason to buy a new game just because its out. I'll give the demo a run, but I dont think I'll be buying 2142. Look at CS, that game still has a huge fanbase after all these years. With EA buying out DICE I think we'll see BF3 within the next 2 years. Until then I'll probably keep playing BF2, barring some other awesome game with a similiar style. I just cant get into the futuristic battles, modern warfare is where its at.
