hi all, I',m having trouble seeing in BF2. stairwells and alleys are REALLY dark and incredibly hard to see in. I posted yesterday and was told to turn dynamic settings off. It didn't help, and Mr. Asshat, (a.k.a. Slayer), decided to kill the post. anything else I can do other than turning all of my settings to low? Plz Help.
and Slayer, please make sure the problem gets solved before being a ASSHAT and killing this post too! what are you trying to be as much of a dick as B.Schuss???

Are you using a CRT monitor maybe it is going out I have to turn my brightness up every 2-3 months or so I have a 4 year old 19" CRT.

It happens with my TFT aswell, its supposed to be like that, in real life when you have light from one area and then a dark area which is further away, its nearly impossible to see.

nope, brand new lcd widescreen, and I mean brand new. (got it yesterday, but had problem since b4).\

and it's the shadows in the stairwells and shit that are messing with me bullet, never happened b4 we upgraded the graphics.

If I were you I would start by not insulting the mods several times in one post. If they already shut you down once that is a really good way to get them to do it again.

Second, if you've already adjusted your game settings, how about your monitor settings. Change the brightness/color settings on the monitor and see if that helps.

I have to wonder...did these problems just start recently or has it been like this all along? If they just started, have you changed anything about your rig or game settings?

masters, YES we changed from the extrame low end graphics to a Geforce 7800 ge xfx, and just installed a widescreen lcd, but the shadows were a problem b4 the moniter.

turn shadows off and dynamic light to medium all shadows wont be so dark anymore.

Your problem is probably that your old graphics card wasn't good enough to display the shadows, and now this graphics card can. If you're running a GeForce 7800... just turn all the settings to max, it'll make it easier to see.

I should give you a 3 day holiday, but that would be unfair to Slayer or Schuss. They would want to do that.

Can you adjust your gamma to make everything brighter?

Set all lighting to low. This should essentially remove ALL shadows. Ofcourse the game looks like crap if you're flying or driving, but stairwells should no longer be dark.
