The first is..everything explained in laymans terms.
The second gives the history of the free masons, and as such it includeds interesting insights in the history of judasim and islam and christainity, and the death of the pharrows and their gods. * cant spell equiptian and my bf2s spell checker doesnt work
Edit: if you enjoyed A brief history of time then try "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson, more accessible than Hawking imo
